How It All Began
Taxi Champlain was founded in 1972 by a group of Greek taxi drivers who came together with a shared vision — to build a reliable, community-driven taxi service for the growing Greek community in Montreal and beyond.
What started as a small collective of dedicated drivers has grown into one of Montreal's most established and trusted taxi companies. Over more than 50 years, Taxi Champlain has expanded to a fleet of over 300 vehicles — mostly hybrid and electric — serving the entire island of Montreal, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
